Eyelash extension is the best way to draw attention to your eyes and add volume to your natural eyelashes, whether they are long or short. Eyelash extensions allow you to achieve that flawless and glamorous look without needing to use any mascara at all.
Many women around the world absolutely adore the look that eyelash extensions bring to your face. Eyelash extensions are an investment in your beauty and self-esteem, but just as any other investment, they may require your time, efforts and money. So when you do decide to get them, you would need to know how to properly take care of them to make them last longer.
Aside from all of the great tips and techniques that the professionals at the salons will tell you, there are also a few basic tricks that you may use to keep your eyelashes looking clean, beautiful and luscious.
First piece of advice is to avoid getting your newly done eyelash extensions wet for the first 48 hours after you get them done. Water can dilute the glue, causing the bonds in it to become fragile and break much easier. After the first 48 hours, after the glue has had time to settle, you should clean your extensions with a soft bristle brush and special cleanser - or distilled water.
You will also want to clean your eyelashes every 2 to 3 days to keep them clean and prevent any possible infections. This will allow you to avoid having to go back to the salon to retouch your extensions.
Another important thing to remember is to never aggressively rub your eyes or touch your eyelashes without a need. This may cause irritation, breakage of eyelashes and more brittle state of your extensions. Instead you should gently brush your lashes every morning so they can stay looking nice for longer periods of time.
Additionally, be careful with makeup or any other products you use on your face. Many makeup and cleansing products have oils in them which can be detrimental for your eyelash extensions. Moreover, it may be difficult and damaging to take that makeup off your extensions at the end of the day.
Lastly, you should typically expect to get your eyelashes redone every few weeks. The time periods may vary depending on your natural eyelashes, the environment around you and how you take care of them. Making sure to follow all of the recommended tips and techniques will allow you to avoid breakage and damage of your lashes, and keep them long, beautiful and voluminous much longer.
